Performance is a key indicator to judge a project teams success or failure. In addition to baseline such\r\nas quality, cost, time and scope that represent project performance, other factors can also improve\r\nproject performance. This study believes personality balance in a project management team is one of\r\nthe important factors contributing to overall project performance. Therefore, this study intends to\r\ndevelop an approach to measure the impact of personality balance on project performance among\r\nproject management team members. A mathematical model is proposed to measure the personality\r\nbalance in a project team and to verify the effectiveness of this model; one case is simulated in this\r\nstudy. From the results, it is observed a project team conforming to an ideal team structure performs\r\nbetter. Further, if the personality balance in a project management team is adjusted to the best possible,\r\nthe project management team could perform even better. Therefore, it is concluded the proposed model\r\ncan help management measure the level of personality balance in a project and therefore, improve\r\noverall project performance.
